The College of Engineering and College of Business are pleased to offer a new five-year program, Bachelor of Science in Engineering and Masters in Business Administration, BS-MBA. Curriculum begins in the junior year of each respective engineering program. If you are interested in the program, Candice will be hosting an information session on Monday, Feb. 25 at 4:00 in HREL

BJTU Summer Camp

The College of Engineering is excited to take part again in the International  Summer Camp hosted by the School of Civil Engineering at Beijing Jiaotong  University, August 5-16, 2013.  The camp  combines technical and cultural activities to help you gain a new perspective  on engineering and get to know students from around the globe.

To support your participation in the camp, we are offering $500  scholarships for interested students.

POSITION PURPOSE:
To be the head technical resource for the company.

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:
-4 year degree, preferably within engineering (Chemical, Materials Science, Civil, Mechanical), architecture or building/ construction sciences.
-Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook a must.
-Candidate must be able to present detailed technical information to diverse audiences and demonstrate the ability to write clearly.
-Candidate must be able to work with basic hand tools and building materials to demonstrate the proper use of Fortifiber’s products.
-Experience in building science, construction and manufacturing a plus.
-Bi-lingual a plus.

Sontag Entrepreneurship Competition Entries Needed

The Sontag Entrepreneurship Competition has been established by the College of Business at the University of Nevada, Reno to develop the entrepreneurial capacities of University of Nevada, Reno students and facilitate the creation of new
businesses in Nevada. The vision for the competition is the development of both the next generation of entrepreneurs and new business ventures. The Sontag Entrepreneurship Award was funded with a major gift from alumnus Rick Sontag to
the University of Nevada in 2011. The endowment created by the gift funds a prize of $50,000 given to the winner of the competition.

Students from all disciplines are encouraged to develop their innovative business ideas in conjunction with the contest. Interested student teams must submit an intent to enter the contest by October 19th. More information about the
contest along with information about last year’s winner can be found at http://www.unr.edu/sontag. Please direct
